In short
- What it is: the 2G Engineering enlarged intake kit (three-hole flange with Venturi profile + closing cap) for Ducati SuperSport 950 and 950 S (2021 onwards), all versions. Air filter not included: use the filter you already have.
- What it fixes: jerky power delivery at low revs and the mid-range torque gap (4,300–5,100 rpm).
- Dyno-tested result: about +5–8 Nm from low revs up to 5,500 rpm and up to +5 HP in the mid-range, with the stock ECU and no remap (dyno test on a SuperSport 939, same engine and same airbox).
- Plug & Play and reversible: fits the stock airbox with no cutting or drilling.

Jerky low-end delivery and mid-range torque gap on the SuperSport 950: the causes
The SuperSport 950 is a sport-tourer with a sporty soul, but with the stock intake its 937 cc Testastretta 11° twin has rough power delivery at low revs: around town and in slow corners the throttle response is sharp and jerky. Higher up, between 4,300 and 5,100 rpm, torque shows a mid-range gap that you feel when rolling on, overtaking and touring with a passenger and luggage.
The bottleneck is the intake: the stock airbox draws air through a small, choked inlet, designed mainly to meet Euro 5 homologation noise limits.
Why changing just the air filter is not enough
The first upgrade many riders choose is a racing air filter for the SuperSport 950. But if the air still has to pass through the narrow, choked stock inlet, a more permeable filter alone won't change the power delivery: the bottleneck is upstream. It's like having a marathon runner's lungs and breathing through a straw.

The solution: 2G Engineering enlarged intake kit
With the 2G kit, the stock airbox inlet is replaced by an enlarged three-hole intake flange with a Venturi profile, which channels the air smoothly to the throttle bodies without turbulence. The cylindrical filter mounts on the flange, closed at the bottom by a cap and secured with a long bolt. It works with the filter you already have: the stock filter or any filter with the same dimensions as the original. Every kit is designed and made in Soliera (Modena), in the heart of the Motor Valley, from carbon-fiber-reinforced PPA, and comes with all the hardware you need.
What changes on the road
- Smooth delivery: the torque gap between 4,300 and 5,100 rpm is filled and the throttle responds linearly, with no jerks.
- More torque and power without a remap: about +5–8 Nm from low revs up to 5,500 rpm and up to +5 HP in the mid-range, measured on the dyno with the stock ECU. Peak power rises only slightly (about +1 HP). No remap needed.
- Intake sound: deeper and fuller, typical of the Testastretta.
- Keep the filter you already have: works with the stock filter and with all sport filters with the same dimensions as the original.

The chart compares a stock SuperSport 939 with the same bike fitted with the 2G kit, with no remap. The SuperSport 950 has the same 937 cc engine and the same airbox, so the kit works the same way: more torque from low revs up to 5,500 rpm and the mid-range gap filled, while peak power changes only slightly.

Frequently asked questions
Is the air filter included?
No. This version contains only the enlarged intake kit: you use it with the filter you already have. If you also need a filter, choose the kit with the 2G performance air filter.
Which filters can I use?
All filters with the same dimensions as the original: the stock one and OEM-size sport filters.
Do I need to remap the ECU?
No. The kit is designed to work with the stock ECU of the SuperSport 950: the stated results (about +5–8 Nm from low revs up to 5,500 rpm and up to +5 HP in the mid-range) were measured with no remap, on a SuperSport 939 with the same engine.
Is it better to change the exhaust or the intake?
They do different jobs: the intake works on how much air gets into the engine, the exhaust on how the gases get out. Our kit is designed to deliver results with the stock exhaust and costs a fraction of a full exhaust system.
Does it fit the SuperSport 950 S?
Yes: it fits the SuperSport 950 and 950 S, from 2021 onwards.
Is the kit the same as for the SuperSport 939?
Yes. The SuperSport 950 and 939 share the same 937 cc Testastretta 11° engine and the same airbox: the kit is identical, and the dyno test was done on a SuperSport 939.
Can I put the bike back to stock?
Yes. Installation requires no cutting or drilling: just refit the stock parts.
How long does it take to fit?
About one hour, with no modifications to the bike.
How long does shipping take?
All kits are in stock and ship within 24 hours, worldwide. You have 15 days from delivery to return the product if you're not happy with it.
