In short
- What it is: the 2G Engineering enlarged intake duct with a dry polyester sport air filter, for all 1103 cc Ducati Streetfighter V4 from 2025 onwards (V4, V4 S).
- What it fixes: snatchy throttle response and weak midrange pull.
- Result: a big midrange torque increase and much smoother power delivery, with the stock ECU (measured on the 2020-2024 Streetfighter V4).
- Plug & Play and reversible: it fits the stock airbox with no drilling on the bike, and you can go back to stock whenever you like.

Snatchy throttle and weak midrange on the Streetfighter V4: where they come from
The 1103 cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 is a race engine, but on the road the stock Streetfighter V4 has a few weak spots: snatchy throttle response at low speed, in roundabouts and in traffic, revs that struggle to stay steady at part throttle, and midrange pull that feels less full than you would expect, right where you ride most on the road.
A big part of the problem is how air gets into the airbox: the stock lid that holds the filter lets air in through a few small openings, designed mainly to meet European homologation noise limits.
Why changing just the air filter is not enough
Many Ducati riders start by fitting a sport air filter for the Streetfighter V4. The problem is that the filter works behind the same stock lid: if air can't reach the filter, a more free-flowing filter changes very little. It's like having a marathon runner's lungs and breathing through a straw.

The solution: 2G Engineering Intake Kit for Streetfighter V4 (2025+)
The kit replaces the factory lid that holds the filter with a smooth-flow duct that more than doubles the air flow area: instead of the small stock openings there is a single wide inlet that feeds air across the whole filter surface. The box also includes the 2G Engineering high-flow dry polyester air filter: a complete intake system, designed to work with the stock ECU. Every kit is designed and made in Soliera (Modena), in the heart of the Motor Valley, from carbon-fibre-reinforced PPA.
What changes on the road
- More midrange torque: a big torque increase right in the rev range you use most on the road.
- Much smoother power delivery: throttle response becomes progressive and predictable, even in traffic and slow corners.
- Intake sound: deeper and fuller, especially from the midrange up.
- Minimal maintenance: the filter is dry and needs no oil: just clean it with a blast of compressed air.
We haven't published the Streetfighter V4 dyno chart yet: we'll add it to this page as soon as it's ready.
Which version to choose
| Version | What's included | Who it's for |
|---|---|---|
| Kit with 2G sport air filter (this page) | Enlarged intake duct + 2G dry polyester filter | Riders still running the stock paper filter |
| Enlarged airbox lid only | Enlarged intake duct, filter not included | Riders who already have an aftermarket sport filter or want to reuse their own |
| 2G sport air filter only | 2G dry polyester filter, washable | Coming soon |
Compatibility
Ducati Streetfighter V4 and V4 S 1103 cc, 2025 onwards. It fits the stock airbox with no modifications. For the 2020-2024 Streetfighter V4 there is a dedicated version. Not compatible with the Streetfighter V2.
Installation
Installation is Plug & Play: the two half-shells bolt together to form the new duct and filter support, replacing the stock airbox lid. Nothing on the bike is cut or drilled. To remove the stock lid, we recommend cutting the rubber joint between its two half-shells, in a spot hidden behind the headlight: the lid stays reusable and you can go back to stock at any time. Fitting time: about 30 minutes.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to remap the ECU?
No, with the stock exhaust or with aftermarket exhausts that keep the catalytic converter. With a decat race exhaust you need a dedicated map anyway, as with any exhaust of that kind.
Is a sport air filter alone enough to improve power delivery?
Usually not. The bottleneck is how air gets in through the stock lid: a more free-flowing filter behind the same small openings changes very little. Our kit opens up the air path and already includes a sport filter.
Is it better to change the exhaust or the intake?
They do different jobs: the intake works on how much air gets into the engine, the exhaust on how the gases get out. Our kit is designed to deliver results with the stock exhaust and costs a fraction of a full exhaust system.
Does it fit all Streetfighter V4 versions?
This page is for the 1103 cc Streetfighter V4 and V4 S from 2025 onwards. For the 2020-2024 Streetfighter V4 (V4, V4 S, SP, SP2, Lamborghini) there is a dedicated version.
Can I put the bike back to stock?
Yes. Nothing on the bike is cut or drilled. Cutting the rubber joint of the stock lid, which we recommend for a quicker removal, does not stop you refitting it: an interlock holds the two half-shells together and the four screws secure it just as before.
How long does installation take?
About 30 minutes, with a basic home toolkit.
How do I clean the filter?
The filter is dry polyester and must not be oiled: clean it with a blast of compressed air against the direction of the intake flow.
How long does shipping take?
All kits are in stock and ship within 24 hours, worldwide. You have 15 days from delivery to return the product if you're not happy with it.
