Snatchy throttle and weak midrange on the Streetfighter V2 955: where they come from
The 955 cc Superquadro twin has a sporty character, but the stock Streetfighter V2 shows a few limits on the road: snatchy throttle response at part throttle, at low speed and in traffic, and midrange pull that is weaker than you would expect, right where you ride the most.
A big part of the problem is how air gets into the airbox: the stock lid lets it in through six small rectangular openings, designed mainly to meet European noise homologation limits.
Why changing just the air filter is not enough
Many Ducati riders start by fitting a sport air filter for the Streetfighter V2. The problem is that the filter works behind the same stock lid: if air can't reach the filter, a more free-flowing filter changes very little. It's like having a marathon runner's lungs and breathing through a straw.

The solution: 2G Engineering Intake Kit for the Streetfighter V2 955
The 2G lid replaces the factory one: instead of the six small stock openings it has two large, short slotted inlets with a generous radius at the entry, which substantially enlarge the air inlet area and guide the air to the filter with less turbulence. The filter is not included: you can keep the stock filter or pair it with our G-054 sport filter. Every kit is designed and made in Soliera (Modena), in the heart of the Motor Valley, in carbon-fibre-reinforced PPA.
What changes on the road
- More midrange torque: on the dyno, up to +8 Nm between 3,000 and 5,000 rpm and still +5-7 Nm up to about 6,700 rpm, right in the rev range you use most on the road.
- Much smoother power delivery: throttle response becomes progressive and predictable, even in traffic and slow corners.
- Intake sound: deeper and fuller, especially from the midrange up.
- No modifications to the bike: it replaces the stock lid, which you can refit whenever you want.
Here is the dyno run: the stock Streetfighter V2 955 compared with the 2G intake system. The gain is concentrated in the low and mid range, where the stock torque curve has its flat spot: up to +8 Nm of torque and about +6 hp around 6,500 rpm. At high revs the curves come together.

Compatibility
Ducati Streetfighter V2 with the 955 cc Superquadro engine, 2022 to 2025. Fits the stock airbox with no modifications. Works with the stock Ducati 42610491A filter or with the 2G G-054 sport filter. Not compatible with the Panigale V2 955, which has a different airbox, or with the new Streetfighter V2 890 (2025+), which has its own dedicated kit.
Installation
Installation is Plug & Play: the 2G lid takes the place of the stock one, on the original airbox. Nothing is cut or drilled on the bike and you can go back to stock at any time. Fitting time: about one hour.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to remap the ECU?
No, with the stock exhaust or with aftermarket exhausts that keep the catalytic converter. With a decat race exhaust you need a dedicated map anyway, as with any exhaust of that kind.
Is the air filter included?
No, this version includes the lid only. If you also want the sport filter, choose the kit with 2G sport air filter.
Can I keep the stock filter?
Yes. The lid works with the stock Ducati 42610491A filter and with the 2G G-054 sport filter, which has the same dimensions.
Is it better to change the exhaust or the intake?
They do different jobs: the intake works on how much air gets into the engine, the exhaust on how the gases get out. Our kit is designed to deliver results with the stock exhaust and costs a fraction of a full exhaust system.
Does it also fit the Panigale V2 or the Streetfighter V2 890?
No. It only fits the 2022-2025 Streetfighter V2 with the 955 cc engine: the Panigale V2 955 has a different airbox and the Streetfighter V2 890 (2025+) has its own dedicated kit.
Can I put the bike back to stock?
Yes. Nothing is cut or drilled on the bike: just refit the stock lid.
How long does installation take?
About one hour, with a home mechanic's basic tools.
How long does shipping take?
All kits are in stock and ship within 24 hours, worldwide. You have 15 days from delivery to return the product if you're not happy with it.
